Petrobras Podium Gasoline
Petrobras Podium Gasoline was developed for high-performance engines, which need a higher octane rating, but any vehicle can enjoy its benefits.
The experience acquired in the development of fuels for racetracks allowed us to select the most suitable chains to achieve the desired attributes, combining the advantages of greater stability during storage, greater protection for the engine and lower times in speed recovery.

Accordingly, we have become the first company in the Brazilian market to offer a fuel with greenhouse gas emissions (GHE) previously compensated before sale to the consumer by means of carbon credits generated by actions of preservation or forest restoration of national biome.

The higher octane rating of Petrobras Podium Gasoline ensures maximum use of the engine's projected power, protecting the combustion chamber from unwanted detonation. This provides faster speed pick-ups and, consequently, safer overtaking.
The high octane rating of Petrobras Podium Gasoline is obtained naturally from the more noble fractions of oil processed in the refinery, without the addition of octane-enhancing chemical substances.
The higher octane rating of Petrobras Podium Gasoline ensures maximum use of the engine's projected power, protecting the combustion chamber from unwanted detonation. This provides faster speed pick-ups and, consequently, safer overtaking.
The high octane rating of Petrobras Podium Gasoline is obtained naturally from the more noble fractions of oil processed in the refinery, without the addition of octane-enhancing chemical substances.
The even lower sulfur content of Petrobras Podium Gasoline, of 30 mg/kg (or ppm, parts per million) in relation to other gasolines, allows for the use of the most advanced vehicle technologies to reduce polluting gas emissions.
The advanced technology used in the Petrobras Podium Gasoline includes a package containing detergent/dispersant additives and friction modifier, which prevents the accumulation of deposits, ensuring clean-up, maximum engine protection and reduced maintenance costs.
Petrobras Podium Diesel
Petrobras Podium Diesel was developed for sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and pickup trucks, with the most modern technologies for fuel injection and vehicle emissions, but any diesel vehicle can take advantage of its benefits.
Diesel Petrobras Podium is a high-performance premium fuel that offers lower speed recovery times, better ignition quality, faster and more complete combustion and better drivability, in addition to greater engine protection and less environmental impact.
It is classified as a premium product for having:
The high cetane number of Petrobras Podium Diesel is superior to S-10 diesel oil, which has a minimum value of 48. The higher the cetane number, the better the ignition quality and the faster and more complete the combustion.
This characteristic, associated with the high detergency criterion adopted for the Petrobras Podium Diesel and the addition of anti-corrosion and anti-oxidant additives, reduces the emission of hydrocarbons during cold starts and improves performance (shorter speed recovery times).
In addition, they also generate benefits such as maintaining the efficiency of the diesel engine (preventing increased consumption and emissions), reduction of maintenance costs and greater oxidation stability of the product.
Podium Diesel is now obtained through the co-processing of 95% mineral diesel (derived from petroleum) and 5% renewable raw materials (such as vegetable oils or animal fat). It provides approximately a 3% reduction in GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions, considering the entire product lifecycle, from extraction at the oil well to use in the vehicle.

Learn more about the technologies
Clean-up and engine protection are guaranteed by the detergent/dispersant and anticorrosive additives present in its composition. While the detergent function reduces the formation of deposits in the injection system, resulting in improved combustion, the dispersant function also prevents the agglomeration and precipitation of insoluble particles, increasing the lifetime of filtration systems.
The anticorrosive additive protects the components of the engine's supply system against corrosion caused by the possible presence of water in the fuel, providing greater durability of the parts, lower maintenance costs and a longer useful life for the system.
The advanced technology applied to the Petrobras Podium Diesel reduces the formation of foam when fueling, allowing for the complete filling of the vehicle's tank in less time, guaranteeing the vehicle's autonomy and mitigating risks of product spillage.
Petrobras Podium Diesel is also the only automotive diesel fuel with a double filtering system at service stations, which ensures the removal of solid particles and water from the product when fueling, increasing the useful life of the fuel filters.

Podium fuel is developed for high-performance engines, with higher octane rating (in the case of gasoline) or higher cetane number (in the case of diesel). In addition, its formulation is also less polluting.
The ethanol content in Podium Gasoline and the biodiesel content in Podium Diesel follow the regulations in force for premium gasoline and automotive diesel, respectively.
