Petrobras Podium Diesel
Petrobras Podium Diesel was developed for sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and pickup trucks, using the most modern fuel injection and vehicle emission reduction technologies, but any diesel vehicle can benefit from it.
Petrobras Podium Diesel is a premium, high-performance fuel that offers faster acceleration times, improved ignition quality, faster and more complete combustion, and better drivability, as well as greater engine protection and a lower environmental impact.

The high cetane number of Petrobras Podium Diesel is superior to that of S-10 diesel, which has a minimum value of 48. The higher the cetane number, the better the ignition quality and the faster and more complete the combustion.
This characteristic, combined with the high detergency criteria adopted for Petrobras Podium Diesel and the addition of anti-corrosion and antioxidant additives, provides a reduction in hydrocarbon emissions during cold starts and better performance (shorter acceleration times).
In addition, it also generates benefits such as maintaining the efficiency of the diesel engine (preventing increased consumption and emissions), reducing maintenance costs, and increasing the product's oxidation stability.
Podium Diesel is now obtained through the co-processing of 95% mineral diesel (derived from petroleum) and 5% renewable raw materials (such as vegetable oils or animal fat). It provides approximately a 3% reduction in GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions, considering the entire product lifecycle, from extraction at the oil well to use in the vehicle.

Engine cleanliness and protection are guaranteed by the detergent/dispersant and anti-corrosion additives present in its composition. While the detergent function reduces the formation of deposits in the injection system, resulting in improved combustion, the dispersant function also prevents the agglomeration and precipitation of insoluble particles, increasing the lifespan of the filtration systems.
The anti-corrosion additive protects the engine's fuel system components against corrosion caused by the possible presence of water in the fuel, providing greater durability of parts, lower maintenance costs, and a longer lifespan for the system.
The advanced technology applied to Petrobras Podium Diesel reduces foam formation during refueling, allowing for complete and faster filling of the vehicle's tank, ensuring vehicle range and mitigating the risk of product spillage.
Petrobras Podium Diesel is also the only automotive diesel fuel with a double filtration system at service stations, which guarantees the removal of solid particles and water from the product at the time of refueling, increasing the lifespan of fuel filters.
