Fertilizer: the Brazilian energy that moves the field

From agribusiness to industry, our fertilizers fuel a cycle of efficiency and security in key sectors of the national economy.

Urea, a versatile input that Brazil needs and we produce

Fertilizer production comes from ammonia, a derivative of natural gas. It is from ammonia that Petrobras obtains urea, the nitrogen fertilizer with the highest demand in the country, with current consumption on the order of 8 million tons per year.

While agribusiness absorbs most of the urea production, its application is versatile in other sectors of the national industry as well.
