Our Privacy Notice has been developed to restate our commitment with safety and privacy of personal information and data we collect from users, a service provided by Petróleo Brasileiro S.A., hereinafter referred to as Petrobras. Petrobras commitment with the subject is provided in our Code of Ethical Conduct.
 

It is worth mentioning that Petrobras website can have access to links to external websites (also known as ‘hyperlinks’), which contents and privacy policies are not liable to Petrobras, i.e., they are out of Petrobras control and are not covered by this Privacy Notice. Thus, it is recommended that, as they are redirected to external websites, users should always read the relevant privacy statements/policies before providing personal data. It should be highlighted that Petrobras does not control privacy practices of such websites, and it does not approve third party website statements.
 

Petrobras, as it handles personal data, it is based on legal foundations and principles in force, especially caring for information self-ruling foundation, as well as good faith, purpose, non-prejudice, responsibility and accountability principles

  • Petrobras Website: Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. Investor Relations Website.
  • User: Person that uses and/or interacts with some Petrobras digital channels.
  • Personal data: information related to identified or identifiable natural person.
  • Sensitive personal data: Personal data on racial or technical origin, religious belief, political opinion, labor union or religious, philosophical or political organization membership, data related to health or sex life, genetic or biometric data, whenever linked to a natural person.
  • Handling: every operation performed with personal data, as the ones related to collection, production, reception, classification, usage, access, reproduction, transmission, distribution, processing, filing, storage, deletion, assessment or control of information, change, communication, transfer, broadcast or extraction.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: cookies are small files created by visited websites and stored on the user's computer through the browser, which can be used to identify visitors, customize the page based on the navigability profile, track usage patterns for improvement and control, and facilitate the transport of data between pages of the same website.   • Not necessary - Disabling it does not prevent the website or application from functioning or the user's use of the services; These relate to features such as tracking behaviors, measuring page or service performance, and displaying ads or other embedded content.

Purpose
  • Analytics or performance - They make it possible to collect data and information about how users use the website, which pages they visit most frequently, the occurrence of errors or information about the performance of the website or application.
  • Functionality - Used to provide the basic services requested by the user and make it possible to remember website or application preferences, such as username, region or language.
  • Advertising - Collecting information about the users’ browsing habits allow their identification, profile building and display of personalized advertisements according to their interests.
 

Retention period

  • Session or temporary - They serve to collect and store information that is only relevant for the provision of a requested service or for a specific temporary purpose, as occurs, in general, with products in a shopping cart; are maintained only while the holders access the website.
  • Persistent - They collect data that is stored and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the controller, which can vary from a few minutes to several years, or until the user manually deletes it.
3. Why Petrobras websites use Cookies? 
 
Petrobras uses Cookies in compliance with privacy and personal data protection standards, allowing users to access them in accordance with the guidelines established by applicable privacy regulations. The Cookies collected are stored in the user's browser for the time necessary to fulfill the purpose informed during collection and meet legal requirements in force, including the protection of the rights of Petrobras and/or its users.
 
Petrobras websites embed videos and other media files through third-party Cookies, which may collect user information and cross-reference it with their profiles on these platforms, but Petrobras does not have access to such data nor control over which Cookies will be activated. Advertising Cookies of other partner websites and advertising tools can also be used.
 
The main purposes of Cookies we use are to:
  • improve our services and the user experience when visiting our websites - offer interactive content, improve the usability and functioning of our platform, and facilitate the sharing of content on social networks; 
  • collect access statistics and generate reports, through Google Analytics and Tail DMP, including information about the use and behavior of the user on the websites, such as pages visited, length of stay and interactions carried out, which helps to identify technical problems, analyze and continuously improve the quality and efficiency of the websites and services offered by Petrobras, including to improve the company's information campaigns;

As transferências internacionais de dados pessoais são realizadas em conformidade com a Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais (LGPD – Lei nº 13.709/2018) e a Resolução nº 19/2024 da Agência Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD).

 

Forma, duração e finalidade

As transferências internacionais de dados pessoais pela Petrobras são realizadas apenas para atender a propósitos legítimos, específicos, explícitos e informados ao titular, sem possibilidade de tratamento posterior de forma incompatível com essas finalidades.

  • Forma da transferência: os dados podem ser transferidos por meio de infraestrutura de nuvem, sistemas corporativos ou acesso remoto por unidades da Petrobras no exterior.
  • Duração da transferência: os dados permanecerão armazenados ou acessíveis no exterior pelo tempo necessário ao cumprimento das finalidades do tratamento, respeitando as políticas internas de retenção e as hipóteses do art. 16 da LGPD, como o cumprimento de obrigação legal ou regulatória.
  • Finalidade específica: a transferência ocorre para viabilizar a execução de contratos ou de procedimentos preliminares relacionados à contratação, assim como operações internacionais relacionadas a cumprimento de obrigações legais e regulatórias; exercício regular de direitos em processos judicial, administrativo ou arbitral; ou proteção da vida ou da incolumidade física, por exemplo.

 

Países de destino, uso compartilhado de dados e a finalidade

Devido à presença global da Petrobras, a transferência internacional de dados pessoais pode ocorrer para países em que mantemos operações, subsidiárias, parceiros comerciais ou prestadores de serviços, bem como para outras jurisdições, sempre que houver necessidade operacional, contratual ou estratégica.

Nas transferências internacionais de dados pessoais, a Petrobras assegura a implementação de medidas efetivas de transparência, que assegurem o fornecimento aos titulares de informações claras, precisas e facilmente acessíveis sobre a realização da transferência, observados os segredos comercial e industrial.
